At an inspection station here on the border with Montana, a black dog in an orange vest briskly scoured the hull of a motorboat, her nose twitching as she investigated every crevice.

Rescues 2the Rescue, a partnership between the IFAW and Working Dogs for Conservation, places high-energy dogs in jobs that benefit from their spunk.
